Where we meet (and why)
Crescent Lake Park in St Pete FL is one of the easiest places to start birding partly because there are so many COOL BIRDS
During our typical, relaxed 60- to 90-minute walk around the lake, it is common to see 30 to 40 species of birds, most of them easily identifiable without binoculars. Birding doesn’t get easier — or more enjoyable — than that!
Just meet John (the BirdVangelist) at the Tasco Parking lot — directions below. Bring your phone, your curiosity, and binoculars if you have them. Nothing else required!
You will be amazed by how many birds you learn and how easy it is to continue birding on your own.
